Greetings!!
Thank you for registering to sail in the North Americans!! We have 42 boats registered so far, so it promises to be an exciting regatta!
This is the first of several emails I will send to you containing information about logistics etc for the regatta.
First, I would like to remind each of you that in accordance with the J/80 Class Rules:
Please be sure that your boat, the owner and helmsperson understand these requirements and that the sticker and membership in the class has been taken care of prior to arriving at this event.
Next, you need to send in signed copies of the Event Release and the OWNER and HELMSMAN REGATTA DECLARATION. If you can do this ahead of time it would be very helpful.
Also, as you all know, each boat will be weighed and measured prior to launching. Because of this, we need to get as accurate a list as possible of the number of boats needing to be measured and launched in each time slot. The time slots available to out of town boats are: Wednesday PM, Thursday AM, or Thursday PM. If you have not indicated the time slot you would like to have your boat launched in, please do so at your earliest convenience.
Finally, haul out order will be determined ahead of time and the order will be given to each boat when registering. It is essential that we know your post regatta destination in order to figure out the haul out order. Please let me know as soon as possible if you have not indicated your post regatta destination already.
